Entebbe has much to offer to both tourists and business travelers alike. Acacia Beach Hotel is conveniently located to access all sights and facilities.

Entebbe’s famous Botanical Garden is worth a visit to take a stroll, have a picnic or do some exercise on its extensive lawns. A 20 min walk from Acacia Beach Hotel, the Gardens will offer recluse and tranquility.

Entebbe Zoo (officially called Uganda Wildlife Education Centre) is a beautiful and well-maintained facility spread out along the shores of Lake Victoria. At its heart is the Chimpanzee island – a large open area where visitors can enjoy observing our closest cousins in their natural habitat (or as close as it gets). Staff of the Centre are available for guided tours and visitors can be part of feeding the animals at designated hours.

Victoria Mall is the latest addition to the town’s growing outlets that offers a range of restaurants, shops, a supermarket and cinema. Children can enjoy the play area. The mall is a 10min walking distance from the hotel.

The swimming pool at Lake Victoria Hotel (located along the road to the airport, near the golf course) is one of the most beautiful in Entebbe and open to the public at a fee. A children’s pool is available and life guards are present.

Entebbe boasts a beautiful Golf Course near Lake Victoria. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding while working on your handicap ;). It also features tennis courts and basketball facilities.

A tour around Uganda Reptile Village is exciting and informative. The grounds are well kept and the staff is friendly and competent.

Entebbe’s beautiful Sailing Club is a 3 min walk from the hotel. The grounds include a bar and swimming pool. Day visitor passes can be purchased and boats can be hired.

Entebbe is the place to catch a ferry to Ssesse Islands in Lake Victoria. The ferry MV Kalangala leaves every day at 2pm from Nakiwogo in Entebbe and can be reached by car or public means.
